Company background
Chief is a mounting-solutions brand (display, projector and tablet mounts) operating within Legrand AV. It entered the Legrand portfolio through Legrand's acquisition of Milestone AV Technologies in June 2017, a deal that also brought the Sanus, Da-Lite, Echogear, Projecta and Vaddio brands under Legrand; Milestone AV itself had been formed in 2004 from the merger of Chief Manufacturing with Sanus Systems. Parent company Legrand, founded in Limoges, France, in 1865 and publicly traded on Euronext Paris as a CAC 40 constituent, reported roughly 38,000 employees and operations spanning about 90 countries as of its most recent disclosures.
