Colebrook Bosson Saunders was founded in London in 1990 by architect Martyn Colebrook together with Peter Bosson and Brenda Saunders, who had begun ergonomic research in 1984 after working in Italy at Olivetti's Ettore Sottsass design studio. The company introduced Gemini in 1985, described as the first articulating monitor support, and Wishbone in 1996, marketed as the first flat-screen monitor arm. Herman Miller acquired CBS on March 30, 2010, and the brand is now part of MillerKnoll, the publicly traded furniture group formed by Herman Miller's July 2021 merger with Knoll.
