BakkerElkhuizen was founded in 1994 in the Netherlands by movement scientists Wim Bakker and Jan-Willem Elkhuizen, initially as an ergonomics consultancy, before launching the Q-Doc in-line document holder that same year to address neck strain from desk-based paperwork.
