Company background

Viasit was founded in 1980 by Alfons Weber and Werner Schmeer, initially operating out of a former paper factory in Wörschweiler, Germany, before establishing its production plant in Neunkirchen, Saarland, in 1991 — still its sole manufacturing site and headquarters. According to company history, revenue surpassed €30 million in 2016. In 2025, Viasit joined Workspace Factories, an alliance of five European office furniture manufacturers built around shared sustainability commitments. No independent employee count, market count, or product certification has been published on Viasit's official channels.
