Tecno was founded in 1953 in Italy by twin brothers Osvaldo and Fulgenzio Borsani, growing out of Arredamenti Borsani Varedo (ABV), the furniture workshop their father Gaetano had established in the 1920s. The company is headquartered in Mariano Comense, near Como, with a Milan office in the former Porta Garibaldi excise buildings.
