Company background
KI (Krueger International) is a contract furniture manufacturer headquartered in Green Bay, Wisconsin. It traces its origins to 1941, when Al Krueger founded Krueger Metal Products in Aurora, Illinois, to make metal folding chairs; the company relocated to Green Bay in 1945. KI is 100% employee-owned through an Employee Stock Ownership Plan, completed in 2018 when then-chairman Dick Resch and his family sold their remaining 71% stake to the company’s roughly 2,000 employees. KI reported record revenue of $740 million in 2022, operates five manufacturing facilities in the U.S. and Canada, and holds the No. 1 U.S. market share in education furniture.
