Company background
Fantoni was founded in 1882 by Achille Fantoni in Osoppo, in Italy's Udine province, and remains a family-owned industrial group after five generations of family leadership. The company is headquartered in Osoppo, Friuli Venezia Giulia, and operates additional production sites in Villa Santina and Attimis in Italy and in Ilirska Bistrica, Slovenia, through subsidiaries including LA-CON and Lesonit. Fantoni manufactures office furniture, partition systems, and MDF and particleboard panels; its Osoppo plant holds ISO 50001:2018 energy-management certification. The group states it generates a significant share of its own energy through eight hydroelectric plants and a 12 MWp photovoltaic array, which it describes as one of Europe's largest industrial solar installations.
