Company background
Arper was founded in 1989 in Monastier di Treviso, Italy, by Luigi Feltrin together with his sons Claudio and Mauro, growing out of Feltrin’s earlier leather-processing workshop. The company describes itself as family-owned and independently run, with no parent group, and remains headquartered at its original Monastier di Treviso site. Its official sustainability program includes ISO 14001:2015 environmental certification, FSC chain-of-custody certification (license FSC-C148360), Environmental Product Declarations issued through the International EPD System, and GREENGUARD and GREENGUARD Gold certification for low chemical emissions. Arper’s Nuur table, designed by Simon Pengelly, won the XXII Compasso d’Oro ADI award, and the company’s corporate identity project received the Red Dot Award for Communication Design in 2012.
